FormPlanet project coordinator, Eduard Piqueras, has presented the project during the first Oyster Open Day workshop celebrated the 28th of November at the CDMA Building of the European Commission in Brussels.
This Open Day workshop was related to open characterisation and modelling environment for driving innovation in advanced nano-architectured and bio-inspired hard/soft interfaces and gave the opportunity to learn more about the Oyster project, meet the project partners and get involved in the Oyster OIE network development and collaboration.
FormPlanet was presented during the workshop session as a European Open Innovation Test Bed for Characterisation. Attendees were able to discover the opportunities that the project can offer to the European sheet metal forming industry and to SMEs, helping them to face the next challenges in this field and to boost their competitiveness.
During the Open Day session, which was attended by some members of the European Materials Characterisation Council – EMCC, a discussion about the EMCC role and other related activities in Clustering Characterisation Projects and Supporting Collaboration were organised.
The first Oyster Open Day counted with the participation of participants from ANSYS Granta, UK Research and Innovation, the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), Fraunhofer IFAM and the European Commission, among others.
