FormPlanet coordinator Eurecat has participated to the Workshop “Open Innovation Test Beds – Introduction, Solutions and Networking”, organized by the European Commission.
The workshop took place on April 2 2019 in Belgium with the aim to provide European test beds coordinators of an overview of other test beds and discuss together on sustainable operations, upscaling provisions and client engagement strategies.
FormPlanet project coordinator, from Eurecat, attended the event and gave a 10-minute presentation on the project as one of Europe’s OITBs for characterisation materials. Together with FormPlanet, i-TRIBOMAT and TEESMAT characterisation materials test beds were presented, as well as OITBs for Safety Training of Medical technologies and Lightweight Nano-enables Composite Materials.
Open Innovation Test Beds (OITBs) aim to bring nanotechnologies and advanced materials within market reach by providing access to demonstration and upscaling facilities as well as advisory services to advance technologies from laboratory validation to prototypes in industrial environments.
FormPlanet is one of the first OITB projects, which have been launched at the beginning of 2019 and will spend the duration of their grant developing their services, business plan and single entry point (SEP) for advancing medical technologies, lightweight nano-enabled composite materials and materials characterisation.
